Boo Basket

Boo Basket

Halloween time is magical. Besides the fact that it marks the beginning of the holiday season I love all the spooky diy’s, spooky treats, and costumes!

I usually make the kids boo baskets, but this year I decided to make myself a basket! I felt that I deserved it and so I went for it. I filled my basket with all my favorite things! Skin care, oils, a journal, and a cute spooky cup!

Selfcare looks quite different for everyone. I love to pamper myself and going to bed with my skin moisturized and on point makes me happy. Journaling is a necessity for my mental health and oils, well, I love oils.

I want to talk about the Ole Henriksen Pore Balance Facial Sauna Scrub. I love it! I usually use Dr. Brandt Pore Dermabrasion but this one also works well, and I love how clear and soft my face looks! I use it 2-3 times per week and I try to use it on a day when I plan on wearing makeup. The way you prep your face before makeup truly makes a difference!

I LOVE the Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream. It is so rich and creamy! This moisturizer is a bit heavier which is perfect for me! As I age, I have noticed my skin is a little more on the dryer side and I love how this moisturizer works with my skin.

Cute plump lips are a must! Lipstick looks so much cuter on moisturized lips! This lip exfoliant does the job. Full disclosure I have only used it twice, but I feel as if it works well!

I want to talk about journaling and what it has done to my mental health. I started journaling in 2017 after a hard year, arguably the hardest year of my life. My therapist at the time recommended that I journal. I usually just write down my thoughts, no matter how random. I usually ramble, but I notice that when I journal, I always wake up in such a good mood. Journaling is a must when it comes to taking care of myself. A journal was a must in my self-care boo basket.

Its time to talk to oils. I love oils. They have truly been such a game changer in my life. Not only have I made the switch from toxic candles to diffusing natural oils that come from plants, but it opened my world to seeing how many toxic products are in our home. That is a story for another time. Today I am going to tell you all about the specific rollers in my boo basket! I added a new perfume roller that I made myself! I call it MAGIC because it not only smells like magic, but the oils I used are truly magical! I used a 10ml bottle and after adding oils I filled the rest with Fractioned coconut oil.

20 drops Valor

15 Drops Grapefruit

5 Drops Northern Lights Spruce

Valor is an emotional support oil and is known to help with depression and anxiety. It is a spicy, sweet, positive aroma that inspires confidence and courage. It is one of my favorite oils!

Grapefruit is known to have antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. It is also known to help reduce stress and lower blood pressure!

Northern lights spruce is a rich woodsy scent. It pairs so well with Valor and Grapefruit and it helps balance the sweetness of the other oils in the roller!

8 Thieves

8 Lemon

2 oregano

2 frankincense

Thieves is a great oil that I known for its antibacterial and antimicrobial and antifungal. It is known to boost the immune system and when diffused it kills all the bacteria in the air! It is the pot of gold during cold and flu season.

Frankincense is a powerhouse. It has been used since ancient times and at one point it was more valuable than gold!

Oregano is known to be antibacterial, antifungal l and antimicrobial! It is a great addition to this roller!

Lemon has such a citrusy aroma, and it is so good for many things!

I walked you through to my self-care essentials! This Halloween is a little different, this year has hit a little different and taking care of we not only physically, but mentally are so important.

If you have any questions do not be afraid to reach out! I would love to hear from you!
